Thieves Tea – Perfected
When my dear husband asks me to make him some tea, I prepare a steaming cup of Thieves tea for him. You see, he’s a high school soccer referee. In Wyoming, soccer is a spring sport. That means that soccer is frequently played in the cold, maybe with a bit of rain or even snow swirling in the air. Always with a cold wind. After a day of being outdoors in those conditions, my love needs to warm up and his immune system needs some support. And he needs some tender loving care.
In my Thieves post, I gave a different recipe for Thieves Tea. My husband has used that one and he likes it. But he likes this one better. The flavors are more simple with only two essential oil ingredients.
Thieves Tea – Recipe
For one cup of Thieves Tea. Pour very hot water over a teabag of green tea, then allow to steep 4 minutes. Remove tea bag. Add 1 teaspoon honey. Stir to dissolve. This may take longer if you and using granulated honey, like mine. After honey is dissolved, add 1 drop Thieves Vitality and 2 drops Lemon Vitality. Stir well and then serve.
Very important: Use only Young Living Vitality oils for this recipe, or any recipe. Young Living has the only essential oils that are approved for and labeled for ingestion. Be safe. Use the best!
When I have a need for Thieves Tea, mine won’t have the honey.
You could use an herbal tea for no-caffeine Thieves Tea, or a black tea if you want more caffeine. We choose green tea because it’s not enough caffeine to impact our perfect night-time sleep.
If you are already a member of Young Living, you can make this tea and let me know how you like it. If you’re not a member, I’d love to have you join my team. Both of the oils in this recipe are included in the Premium Starter Kit, so you can start making tea right away!
