Original Valor Back in Stock!
Original Valor Back in Stock!
Last weekend Young Living made an announcement that delighted the hearts of members. the original Valor essential oil blend has become available for purchase for the first time in a couple of years. With Valor back in the Young Living lineup, oilers everywhere have a reason to celebrate!
Young Living’s founder, Gary Young, created Valor for his own use and it quickly became very popular with members. Original Valor contained Black Spruce, Rosewood, Blue Tansy, and Frankincense essential oils in a base of fractionated coconut oil (or almond oil, going way back). I first professed my love for Valor in this post.
Valor II Stands in for Original Valor
As rosewood essential oil, from aniba rosaeodora, became increasingly difficult to source, Young Living introduced Valor II to satisfy some of the demand for Valor. Valor II was designed by Gary Young to have the same action as original Valor. It contains Ylang ylang, Coriander, Bergamot, Northern Lights Black spruce, German Chamomile, Idaho Blue spruce, Frankincense, Vetiver, Cistus, Cassia, Davana, and Geranium essential oils in a base of fractionated coconut oil. Valor II has the same lovely blue color as original Valor but smells much different. I did not care for the smell of Valor II at first. Having used it in Raindrop in place of regular Valor, I have become very fond of the smell.
The Rosewood tree is now listed as endangered. Other companies still offer rosewood essential oil, but their oil would not meet Young Living’s standards for purity or sustainability. Gary Young and his research team went to work looking for an oil that could replace Rosewood in original Valor. It took them a couple of years, and the results of their work are finally available to us. In this new version of original Valor, Camphor wood essential oil replaces Rosewood.
My first bottle of Valor arrived today. Sniffing from the bottle, it smells a little different from original Valor. A drop in my hand, rubbed between my palms and then cupped over my nose and mouth, smells like my old stock Valor.
Celebrating With Valor
This new release of original Valor is worthy of celebration. Why? Because Valor back in stock means I don’t have to worry about using my supplies of Valor and Valor II. It means I can start using these oils liberally. So how am I celebrating? Please notice that the bottle of Valor II in the picture above has a black lid, taller than the white lid on the Valor. Under that black lid is a roller ball fitment. Yes, I’m celebrating new Valor with nightly back rubs featuring Valor II. My husband rolls it on along both sides of my spine, from the base of my skull all the way to my coccyx. Then he does some light massage and I’m all fixed up for the night.
You see I have this ache in my back. It’s not a big ache, not enough to visit a chiropractor over or even take an OTC painkiller. Just a little chronic ache that I prefer not to feel. Valor is one of the emotional oils, but it’s also nicknamed “chiropractor in a bottle.” When Valor II goes on my back it simply feels so much better!
If you’re already a Young Living member, I hope you’ve ordered some Valor. If you aren’t already a member, I’d love to have you join my team! Exploring essential oils is more fun with friends!
